Just got off the plane on Sat. from 2 weeks work in Pommyland and although jetlagged there was not going to be any reason to miss the celebration down at Tryzubivka.
With the weather being superb, I had a friend over from NYC who I took down to Horsham. We came late because we were sight seeing with a stop @ SBoundBrook (which also had a concert for Independance Day).
Outdoor activities at Tryzubivka though was for us a better choice. A concert which had *hrubyj* Ivo Bobel was surprising. However, the food was just about gone because of the amount of people who showed up. Nonetheless, the BBQ atmosphere is far more relaxing
the formal concert etc. As always there were some booths for those who wanted souveniers.
What I can say is that primarily the influx of novoprybuli since YKPAIHA's Independence now almost have become the majority in the diaspora. The so called "New Wave" is IMO the people
who are now pulling the community. At least those who are visible.
Didn't see, however any Yanks with their mail-order-trophy brides ;^)
Poka, Xlopchyky i Divchatka!
