Don't worry,
There will be NO problem. Ukrainian customs won't ask about anything, just keep your mouth shut about why you're going to Warsaw--to see relatives, etc. Especially the daughter is in the mother's passport.
I had my interview in Warsaw in March. I went with my daughter, and there was no problem, they only asked if I had vodka, cigarets or weapons in my luggage. Only asked, not even searched anything.
The point is--no problem going to Warsaw via train. And there will be no problem during the interview. Get your plane tickets in Warsaw for the next day after the interview--and welcome to the USA.
