It depends on what operating system you have.
For windows based systems Win95/98 & WinNT/Win2000
There are similarities...
For UNIX/Linux based system there are different configuration issues...
Don't forget there are different keyboard layouts as well. I use a phonetic based layout and I'v also introduct several keys which are not considered standard. (Multi lingual).
Also not that Msoft in its newer systems also has the ability to change keyboard layouts... You may not like their keyboard layouts (I don't!)
BRAMA has done a nice job in having a db source for what you may need.
