Phillip; Regardless of the passport you receive from your home country, you still are required to request permission from the foreign country [in this case the Ukraine] in order to enter the country. Its been a LONG time since I've visited Poland where I was required to have a visa, so I very well could be fuzzy on rules and regs. I would urge you to contact both the US State Department and the Ukranian Embassy closest to you in order to receive up-to-date information.
