I am a single mother of a five month old baby boy. We live with my parents in a four bedroom house. My son has his own room! I am not with the father of my son and he is currently in jail. He too, lives with his mother. I do not have any legal documentation stating that I have full or joint custody of our son. I would like to know what my legal rights are as a mother. I would also appreciate some directions as to obtaining full legal custody of my son knowing that his father isn't just going to sign over all rights. Please help!!!
