RE: Let me tell you about my experience. I submitted 2 request forms for an interview for 2 of my relatives via Internet. It is www.usemb.kiev.ua/consular/RequestForm.html. You can sign up for an email for each of your relatives in their names on www.yahoo.com or www.hotmail.com. Date of the interview will be emailed to the each email address. Also your relatives will get letters informing them about an interview date, what they have to bring, etc.
I supplied these 2 of my relatives with invitations (I think they are not needed anymore, check Consulate site about visa requirements), letters explaining why I am inviting them, and copies of my citizenship papers (everything in English). When they came for an interview, nobody even looked at their papers. The Consulate worker just asked them where they work and that's it. So they were charged $45 each for that "interview" which lasted less than 1 minute. In one hour, according to my relatives, US consulate in Kyiv "processes" no less than 500 applicants in this way and almost nobody gets a visa except very few.
That's what they told me. Good businees, ha?
