In two months I will graduate from the collage. Just recently I was ordained to the Holy Priesthood and my diocese send my documents to INS in order to change my F-1 Visa on R-1 Visa, so I can stay in this country. I’m still waiting for my Religious Visa.
My current F-1 Visa expires in July and because I didn’t get my R-1 Visa yet, I was thinking to get a work permit for a 1 year. However, I’m not sure that I can apply for the R-1 Visa and at the same time for the F-1 Optional Practical Training
after Completion of Studies.
My question: is that legal to apply for both R-1 Visa and for F-1 Optional Practical Training? Please give me the answer because the time is running out???????
