Your boyfriend should come to the US on an H-1B1 "Specialty Occupation" visa (assuming that he has a college degree and is eligible). This visa allows "immigrant intent" so he could marry you after arriving at any point without any future negative impact on his immigration. If you marry him, there will be a backlog of YEARS before he would be able to enter on an immigrant visa, so he should try to enter some other way.

I don't know how to get my boyfriend to come here from Ukraine. My boyfriend was here on a student visa, then he left and since then I have to go to Ukraine every four month.I am a legal resident, but not a citizen yet, so I don't know if we can apply? What are the real chances of getting it and how long would it take. If anyone has info or recently got a fiance visa please help with information. Thanks!!!
