I think this is very true - Especially in YKPAIHA where day to day struggles are enough of a burden.
However, if you are found speaking YKPAIAHIAH in Kyiv at first there is a smirk from the listener and then if there is no intent for pushing the nationalistic button then the listener more times than not turns the conversation - в рідні мові.
: And actually i never denied that "pryemne otochenya" is the best for good mood and hope all Ukrainians who are there remember that.
Don't worry... The weather has been cold enough here in the US that горілочка can be very beneficial.
