: Please help!I need to send guest invitation for my parents in Ukraine.Where can I do it???
You can get some information here http://usinfo.usemb.kiev.ua/visa_faq_howtoapply_eng.html
There is no "hard set" format for the invitation letter, just explain what they intend to do when they are in US.
As a matter of fact, the letter of invitation is not even mandatory, they can just apply for a Tourist Visa in US embassy as you will see when you read the website.
Make sure they know of the guidlelines that are specified on the website to increase their chances of getting the permission to enter. Even more useful would be if they bring documents verifying the fact that they do not intend to stay in United States or work in United States while they are there.
Example of what the embassy has to be convinced:
1. That the applicant has a residence abroad;
2. That the applicant has no intention of abandoning that residence;
3. That the intent of travel conforms to one of the nonimmigrant visa categories delineated in the INA.
Though (again, speaking from a personal experience), be prepared for the fact that your parents may be refused EVEN if they present the overvelming proof of all of the above. Be prepared that no explanation other then a standart letter stating that "the applicant did not sufficiently prove that they will not be staying in US" will be given. Be prepared that the appeals that you send after everything will not help with the case.
However, they may just be granted the permission.
Honestly, sometimes it seems like the possibility of seing your loved ones once a year depends on somebody's mood in the Embassy. Sorry to appear bitter about it, but I had a very unpleasant experience that last time I/my parents tried to aquire the permission.
Good Luck!
