First of all let get something strait, someone who comes to a different country to get married is doing so ONLY because they are unable to to get married (or probably in most cases even have a relationship at all) in their own country. By the same token the women who get married to foreigners in those countries are not exactly "normal" themselves. They know what they are doing is basically some form of prostitution and the people around them know it too. Why would a normal woman in Ukraine (or anywhere else) marry some stranger with a completely different language, culture, etc.? Other then financial gain there is no reason! Putting two and two together and what you have is two people who are pathologically unable to even form the basic human relationship trying to make a marriage work (well one of them is trying anyway). Add to that the language difference, and other considerations, all of these marriages are going to end in divorce. There are as always a few exceptions, but in cases like this they are incredibly rare.
Now your question, about the cultural difference, friend, let me make an analogy, a hooker doesn't stay in her line of work because she likes to sleep with men, she does it for the money. You're wife married you to move to the US, it has nothing to do with culture or custom, it has to do with the kind of person you married and the kind of person you are. What isn't "normal" is for someone to go to a different country and randomly marry some women (who you most likely know little to nothing about) thinking that it's going to work out. That's just plain stupid!
You're best bet is to get a divorce ASAP, give her whatever she is entitled to by law and wisen up. Also, some of the of the idiot replies here are quite misleading, thing of the sort, "send her back or she'll own you" or "kick that Uke out" or whatever are the absolute worse thing you can do! She already has a green card and she's legally married to you. If you even mention anything of the sort to her, that would be legally classified as spousal abuse. All she has to do is to make one phone call to a lawyer, then she is really going to own you for the rest of your life.
