From what I know from other message boards, it takes the INS several months to process AOS. And sometimes they "lose" your documents and you may have all kinds of adventures. Check out this message board http://www.eskimo.com/~parents/webpre//dv/messages/index.html, you may need to go back a few months, but you will find what you are looking for.
