I am a single parent in Chicago area. Because my work requires me away from home about 10 hours a day, I have used an international au pair agency for the last two years. My new au pair (from Germany) decied after one day of training in Connecticut that she didn't want to be an au pair, after all, and she returns home. I have decided that I don't want to be a member of this au pair agency any more.

Does anyone know of an au pair agency for Ukrainian/Russian au pairs in Chicago, or even nationally? I am a frequent traveller to Ukraine, and respect an enjoy UK/RU culture. I would prefer babushka au pair/nanny, though any age (over 22) is OK. My kids are 12 and 10 y.o., and they are good children, good students.

I have references, and two years' experience with this agnecy, with a history of being respectful and family focused with prior au pairs (from Poland, Czech Rep., Hungary...). This agency is just very expensive, and the au pairs now seem to be too young, and many from Africa & Asia, which I would not prefer.

Can anyone offer advice or referral?
