I wouldn't get my hopes high if I were you with an au pair visa. I know of several people who have tried and they all were denied. You have to prove that you want to come to the US and not overstay illegally (I'm not saying she will - but a lot of people want and many of these actually go ahead and do it. The presumption is that if you are young (and cannot prove ties to the country) than obtaining this type of visa can be difficult.
