F-1 visa for a student.

I hope somebody can help me. I’m studying at the University in the USA and I’m’ on F-1 visa. My visa F-1 is still valid for one year but now after a school I got a change to change F-1 Visa on Religious visa.
This summer I’m going to go to Ukraine with my F-1 visa and at the same time I want to apply for getting Religious visa.
Do you think, on my way back to the USA I will have a problem because I apply for Religious Visa when my F-1 visa is still valid. On the border, should I tell them that I apply for Religious visa or it would be better to say that after finishing the school I will go back to Ukraine. I hope that they don’t have in computer that I apply on R-1 visa.
