I also won the 2002 lottery and adjusted my status through the INS office in the US. However, I was legally here and had no poblems with the process. If you are here illigally, it's almost impossible to get your status adjusted to the Permanent Resident in the US. However, if you get an immigration lawyer that can help you with the process, there's a chance. Also remember, there is time limitation on visa availability (until Sept. 2002) if I remember correctly. Good luck to you! Mykhaylo
