I'm currently working w/ my husband at a company that did not really hire me, I volunteered to help my husband as he is working on commission and his salary depends on his (now our)success.
And he is splitting our commission w/ me, just letting me spend as much money as I want b/c we have joint bank account...
When I was on Interview w/ INS and they asked me where I work , i told them that I work w/ my husband, but they asked me to bring an agreement to show that i work w/ him???
Now, I don't know how to get that agreement, as the company never hired me and I just wanted to help my husband make more money. What should I do then?
How can I explain that and prove it on paper that I just volunteered and worked w/o being acctually paid for that? And is it illegal to work like that, not filing tax papers as all the amount is given to my husband and he files the whole amount for himself and stated that his spouse is not working?
