: A visa is cancelled usually when a stamp with the word "cancelled" is placed over the visa, or when the word'cancelled" is written across the visa.
: Visas can be cancelled for various reasons. Two common reasons are:
: 1) A person is trying to enter the US and at the border the officer decides that the person does not have sufficient documentation. The person decides to withdraw the application for entry, i.e. decides to just go back, instead of exposing her/himself to the possibility of expedited exclusion. The visa is cancelled before the person is permitted to depart.
: 2) A person with a multiple entry visa has violated her/his status and is caught. The visa is cancelled before the person departs the US.
: A person's visa may also be automatically cancelled in some instances. To know whether or not that is the case, you need a consultation.
