A "green card" is what a persongets to prove that one is a permanent resident.
One is able to get permanent residence either by entering the US with an immigrant visa or by receiving a grant of permanent residence through adjustment of status.
So, if your application for adjustment of status is approved and you are granted permanent residence, you will receive a "green card."
Good luck.
: I filed for I-485, thought it was for Green Card, but found out for Adjustment of Status..Are those the same things or different??
: Please help, I'm confused:(
: Thank you,
