: Last summer when I visited my family in Ukraine I was faced with a such harrrasment at Lviv airport because I had no PMZ in my passport that it's not even funny. (years ago I left Ukraine using B_2 visa) So, you do need PMZ stamp, unless you don't fly directly to Lviv or Kiev, but fly to WArsaw first and then find your way to Ukraine by taking bus or train.

What passport would you use for entering Ukraine from Poland (I have a new passport issued to me by NY consulate), Do they normally stamp passports when you cross Polish/Ukr border?
