: For centuries the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union maintained a single language policy which limited the development of Ukrainian. Those who are nostalgic for the Soviet era and its unfettered efforts to annihilate Ukrainian may want to see the debate over language continue.

dowe want them on our side?__yes
Do we want to have them "pissed off" with our language policy, so with us?__No

Could we get more sympathizers from that "block" with ukrainian lang.?___We must find the way through "vibrant" language policy, "vibrant" language policy.
Has always "enforcing" & "eroding" worked with anything.?__Not always.
Could we get in troubles with wrong langge policy or way of its application and have more hostility?___We could.
