Cheap airline ticket to Ukraine

I wanna go to Ukraine during next summer. I tried to find quotes for tickets from Chicago to Kiev, but the cheapest I found cost about $1400 (round-trip). It's too expensive for me. Can anyone give some advice about this matter? Where should I book the ticket to get it cheaper? Thank you...
