I think that depends on the Canadian citizenship policies. Check around the Canadian government websites to see what they say about dual-citizenship.

You should go to YAHOO! under the "government" section, and search for "Canada" and within that, you can search for "citizen".

My quick search on Yahoo! yielded an interesting short item that one person wrote - he holds both US and Canadian citizenship:
