Do not mention. You have not applied to become an US citizen You have only enwuired as to the possibility. An application or entry in the Lottery is not an application of intent mearly the right of opportunity should you be successful. Even Lottery winners are not garranteed successful entry. It only means that a category of application is now avaiable. You have not in my view applied for residency, There fore in good faith you would not be lying if you so no. If questioned I would not think this would be the case indicate that you were of the opinion that an having applied for the lottery only gave you the opportunity to apply for to become ann US citizen. You have not had that opportunity and as such never applied.

It is best to indicate thast you intend to at all times comply with the requirements and conditions of the F-1 visa.

: : Marianna, please do not menation that you were participating in this lottery - if they know, you will not be granted F-1 visa for sure! F-1 is a student non-immigrant visa, meaning that your only intention is to come and study. When you are already in USA on F-1 visa, you can change status, but my advise to you is: do not do that

: IF YOU SAY NO, YOU WILL HAVE LIED WHICH IS THE LEAST THING TO DO, IN MY MIND. IF YOU LIE, YOU MAY GET AWAY WITH IT, OR - YOU MAY NOT. THE CHOICE IS YOURS.
