Marianna, please do not menation that you were participating in this lottery - if they know, you will not be granted F-1 visa for sure! F-1 is a student non-immigrant visa, meaning that your only intention is to come and study. When you are already in USA on F-1 visa, you can change status, but my advise to you is: do not do that

: : I am applying to F-1 visa and have an interview at the US Embassy in Kyiv soon. Should I indicate my participation in 'Green Card Lottery' in my application form (I didn't win)? Although I didn't find a direct question about that in the application form. Does anybody had similar experience?

: : Thank you
