I don't how long it takes to get citizenship, but you can not apply for any family based visas (k-1 or I-130) for your future spouse until after you have citizenship.

: I am currently perm. res. of US. I can apply for Citizenship in Dec 2001. Also, I know it better to marry someone in Ukraine if you're a US citizen. But how long does it take to get citizenship after you aplly??? Or should I marry them before I get citizenship? Can anyone please inform me???????
