Relative visiting USA

Hello, everybody, I will need your advice and previous experience. I am married in USA and I want my mom to come visit me. I heard they reject almost everybody in Kiev Embassy,even if a person has strong reasons to come back to Ukraine.

What will be the best - to send invitation from my husband or from my mom's American friends who have nothing to do with me and does my mom have to mention that her daugther is married in US?
