US Embassy in Kyiv does not deal with the K1 or Immigration visa questions, not it deals with the AOS issues. So, be patient. But, I heard that in Texas (Dallas) INS is pretty quick and you get your GC stamp in your passport same day you apply. The actual card will arrive in 10-12 months. Otherwise, it indeed takes a long time.
But, why are you rushing to go back to Ukraine? You should have arrived to the US pretty recently, as I understand?
