: Hi all,

: I see several complaints on this board about using Russian language instead of Ukrainian. I just want to make a point that not all operating systems automatically support Ukrainian keyboard/fonts in browsers, and it is possible that a person uses Russian language simply because he/she technically can't type several Ukrainian letters that are not in the Russian alphabet.

: Let's be kind to each other, and not assume that somebody is not Ukrainian simly because that person posted a message in Russian.

: I'd also appreciate if somebody points out a link on how to install Ukrainian fonts under Linux. Thanks!

Julia,

While some people posting their messages in Russian might in fact be Ukrainian, still there are Russian participants here as well. They don’t owe apologies to anybody for using the “wrong “ language. Everybody knows that this site is Ukrainian, but it attracts people from all over the world. Nobody seems to be insulted by postings written in English, the same applies to Russian.
I could speculate about the advantages of being bilingual or trilingual, but usually it is pointless. Intelligent people realize it themselves, but I am not going to waste my breath on somebody like Anti-Ivan (degrading!!!).

Sincerely,
Viola

P.S. Sorry I don't have an answer to your question regarding Ukrainian font.
