On June 30, 2005 the President of Ukraine signed Decree No. 1008/2005 "On the Establishment of Visa-Free Regime for Citizens of the United States of America". According to the Decree, effective July 1, 2005 visas are not required for United States citizens for periods of stay not exceeding 90 days. A second entry may be made without a visa if the second entry is greater than 6 months from the initial entry. Those wishing to enter Ukraine within 6 months of the initial entry will need a visa.
