Thanks for the link on dual citizenship. As to the property laws in Ukraine, I do not think that Ukraine has a solid legal base for ownership of property / land neither for its citizens nor foreigners. Unfortunately, just because you maintain your Ukrainian passport will not guarantee that you will be able to own or keep anything (think: Great October revolution?).

On the other hand, I heard that US laws (especially dealing with estate / inheritance) might prohibit or limit your rights if you are not a US citizen. I have not looked into this, but maybe someone who's reading knows more about the issue from a US perspective.
