: Hello everybody, I would really appreciate if you can help me with my questions. I am Ukrainian on F1 student visa in USA and my boyfriend, American citizen wants to marry me. After we are married and send all the documents to INS am I allowed not to study any more or do I still have to sustain my student status till we get any decision from the goverment?
: And one more question. We found out that in order to apply for a permanent residency for me my boyfriend will have to file affidavit of support and for that he has to have a constant income. But he is a student and he does not have any income so far. Is there any way out? I work myself full-time, but they require that he has an evidence of being financially independent. Thank a lot!
