Thank you very much for your response! I also can't leave my job for more than 3 weeks, but really want to visit Ukraine. It doesn't seem to be so bad after all... I was really afraid that they keep passports during the entire process, meaning that one can't travel to other countries without obtaining a "travel document" from INS (I travel a lot due to my job). My lawyer told me that it would be hard in my case, since my passport will not expire in the next 3 years, and INS knows that.
