Ukrainian married to US citizen

I was wondering whether anybody knows the rules of what Ukrainian citizen is supposed to do when he/she marries US citizen in the USA and obtains a green card.

I heard that if you don't obtain a stamp
"выезд на ПМЖ" in your (Ukrainian) passport you can "enter Ukraine only once", and then spend 5-6 months obtaining this stamp in Ukraine. Otherwise you won't be able to fly back to the US... Is there any truth to that? Can one obtain this stamp in the US? Any info will be really appreciated!!!
