After we received USA citizenship we had to give up our green card, we don't have it anymore, and without green card and carrent visa stamp in the passport there is no way to prove to Ukrainian passport control that you have a valid reason to enter USA. As we suspect they would not let us out, but nobody knows for sure. I did one trick last fall, I received a Polish visa and flew through Warsaw and just told them that I am flying to warsaw to get USA visa. And in Poland I show my USA passport, but this time no tickets on LOT the week that I need. So, back to consulate and try my luck there.

: Ladies, I don't get what your problem is. Why not travel to Ukraine ON UKRAINIAN PASSPORT? Plus, Ukrainian Embassy won't give you visa if you still have Ukrainian citizenship (it will only cease to exist after the President's Ukaz with YOUR NAME in it).
