Is the child going to be born in America? If so, then the child is an American citizen. Will your husband travel to Ukraine with you? If so, he can put child on his passport when he applies for visa at Ukrainian embassy or consulates in United States. I would think there would be less hassle leaving Ukraine if child is an American citizen travelling on a American parent's visa.
