Hello,
Now it's... 2PM, I have a late lunch time. Switch on TV, 15 channel and...
DISAPPOINTED TO BE UKRAINIAN AGAIN...
Disappointed "thanks to" CBC TV, and not first time, unfortunately.
CBC Word News performing yet the news block. Few minutes ago the national
Ukrainian flag appeared on the screen and intelligent looking
presenter, without any video background and emotions, just said to
listeners something like: "Ukrainians sold some military rockets to
China and Iran. It was been at those Ukrainian ex president Kouchma
time". And that's it, my friends. No more information. Whether the
Ukrainian government had some legal rights to sell such kind of
rockets? (as every independent country supposed to have). What wrong
in the fact of legal sells? No such questions, no such answers. If it
was an illegal act, why you even do not mentioned that? Is it supposed
"Ukrainians always doing wrong"? Do you know, for Ukraine producing
high quality rockets is the same honor as for Quebec produce maple
syrup, this is historically we do best - rockets. The first space
rocket engine was maiden in Ukraine. But, this inappropriately
explained TV message personally to me - just some few seconds of pure
shame...
How long Canadian journalists going to Ukraine to fill in Canadian
newspapers or TV time by some "savage staff"? I've just seen one
compilation in Globe and Mail, from industrial east of Ukraine. Just
Ukrainian people in theirs simple houses... But such... disgusting angle of view! Did the photographer had a chance to find such homes everywhere
in the World, even in his neighborhood? Do everybody well dressed here
at own home? Why you floated out to Ukraine for stuff like this? Why
particularly in Ukraine?
One more again supplication to CBC -how long you taking distorted
Ukrainian video feed for CBC news through your Moscow based agency? Do
you feel that Moscow born cameraman is intended to find something
positive in Ukraine? I don't, unfortunately.
I'm boring of it. We, Ukrainians, we even do not deserve it. We first
voted for and first performed nuclear disarm. First produced peaceful
space engines... Where is it on the news?
"WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS, to learn Ukrainian?" asking our children in
Ukrainian bilingual schools here in Canada. Are they children of the
women traffic mafia or may be not only? Or may be they have some
reasons to be proud as Ukrainians? Where are "the sweet spots" on CBC
News, or on local news?..
I love Canada, this is a great country. But I was born in Ukraine,
that's a part of mine, try to understand me.
