Ukrainian President proposes Foreign Ministry to consider opportunity of maximal simplifying visa regime for foreigners, willing to visit Ukraine

President Viktor Yushchenko, while introducing newly appointed Foreign Minister Borys Tarasiuk, proposed the Foreign Ministry to maximally simplify the visa regime for foreigners, willing to visit Ukraine. According to the Head of State, as many as possible tourists should be attracted to Ukraine, including in the context of holding International EuroVision Contest in Ukraine.
Mr Yushchenko instructed the Ministry to "fruitfully work" over intensification of Ukraine's economic and trade relations. "We need to draft the policy, which would open Ukraine for business". The President briefed the diplomats about an agreement, reached at the World Economic Forum in Davos with regard to holding an annual "small Davos forum" in Ukraine in June. Some thousand of business representatives will be invited to participate in the first forum this year.
