I just won a green card and intend to marry my girlfriend - she is a citizen of Belarus. We intend to get married in the US and return home for a year or so. When we get our green cards, we will probably come back to the US.
Question: if things do not work out, can we get divorced in Ukraine even though we got married in the US? Or will we have to come back to the US and do it here? It's just that most states have a residency requirement before a divorce complaint can be filed.
