: : : hi,
: : : can letters be mailed in and out of the Ukraine without using the Russian Cyrillic alphabet?
: : : Thanks in advance for any help offered.

: : Sorry, but we all have SLAVIC alphabet not RUSSIAN.

: What a stupid answer...thanks for nothing! Slavic, Russian or whatever, the question remains as first posed...can non-Cyrillic addressed letters make it through the postal system in the Ukraine? Some real help would be appreciated.

John --
The short answer is -- depends on the Post Office. I wonder -- would you try addressing mail to someone in the US or UK in cyrillic?
You are unbelievably rude. Your question demonstrated your ignorance, so I guess no one should be surprised at the rudeness.
Even Windows distinguishes between Cyrillic Russian and Ukrainian alphabets. The characters of the alphabets are not identical, although very similar.
I'm answering you because this is Lent and one should be kind even to obnoxious people during Lent. However, I wonder why you would expect people to help you when you are rude to them.
