EU officials from Great Britain, Poland and Denmark presented an orange tree to the people on Independence Square. The tree is decorated with 25 ornaments, each bearing the name of an EU country.
 
The representative from Poland produced an ornament with the blue/yellow Ukrainian colors and places it on the tree.  It symbolizes the 26th country of the European Union.
