AIHA Announces New Partnerships in 5 Ukrainian Cities
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
June 4, 1999 - Washington, DC
The American International Health Alliance, Inc. (AIHA), in conjunction with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), is pleased to announce the formation of twenty-one new partnerships between US health care institutions and their counterparts in the countries of the new Independent States of the former Soviet Union. Partnership activities will be carried out under a Cooperative Agreement from USAID to AIHA to foster more effective and efficient delivery of health services in the region. The program builds upon the highly successful model developed by AIHA over the past seven years to address local, national, and regional health care issues in the New Independent States (NIS) of the former Soviet Union and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE).
