Ukraine's environment is one of the worst affected in Europe. The environmental situation in our area necessitates practical actions to rebuild and restructure the agriculture and industry and to pursue military conversion. A major trend in business development in Ukraine will be adoption of environmentally friendly technologies and best practices of environmental management.
We in Ukraine realize that the environment can only be improved in close cooperation with Western companies and organizations. We would like to invite you to explore business opportunities in the emerging Ukrainian environmental market.
With this in mind, we suggest that your organization be presented in Dnipropetrovsk, the center of Donets/Dnieper River Region accounting for 70% of Ukraine's industrial output and a great deal of its agricultural produce. A good opportunity to do this might be International Conference and Exhibition/Fair on Methods and Means of Survival in Ecologically Intense Regions to be held on May 12-15, 1999 in Dnipropetrovsk.
The program of your presentation could include, among other things, lectures by your leading specialists, meetings with officials, scientists, specialists, business people and other potential partners and the media, visits to companies that are of greatest interest to your business, and national and/or regional coverage of your accomplishments and plans on TV.
