Orange - lucky color for local soccer team

Yonkers — On Sunday, December 5, 2005, the Yonkers SUM "Krylati" Men's Soccer Team donned new orange uniforms in a show of support for the "Orange Revolution" in Ukraine. The game was a "Round of 16" NY State Cup match against Brooklyn-based FIAO Torretta (of the Italian-American Soccer League). The game was played in Yonkers, NY and Krylati won 3-0 to the delight of the home fans. The Yonkers SUM "Krylati" Men's Soccer Team participates in the Eastern District Soccer League and is currently leading the first division with a record of 5 wins and 1 loss.
