Party leader in Moldova addresses congratulatory letter to 'President Yushchenko'
To: President Viktor Yuschenko,
President of Ukraine
Dear Viktor,
At this moment so crucial for the future of Ukraine, when the state's power is trying to steel the obvious victory of the democratic Opposition, the Christian Democratic People's Party of the Republic of Moldova is affirming its full support for you. We see you as a legitimate President of Ukraine, a president that was elected by the people of Ukraine. We have been standing next to the "Our Ukraine" during the whole electoral process. We acknowledge that you are the real winner of not only the first but as well as the second round of these presidential elections. But, the mass fraud committed by the team of the Prime Minister, Ianukovich is looking to alter and steal the results of these elections. Numerous frauds committed by the followers of Ianukovich have been observed and reported by international observers, as well as by your own observers. Thus, during these elections, in the Transnistrian region of the Republic of Moldova, which is controlled by the Russian army and Russian secret services, the separatist regime in cooperation with the representatives from Ukrainian government committed serious electoral frauds.
In this critical moment for the future of Ukraine when the independence and democracy of your country is facing a difficult test, we express our admiration and full support for your patriotism, courage and civic responsibility that you along with millions of Ukrainians are manifesting. You do not want to conform to the usurpation of the power in state and to leave the country in the arms of a dictatorship that can annul democratic system, sovereignty and a European nation, which deserves to be among the leaders of our continent.
Dear Viktor, the success of the democracy in Ukraine will help to affirm democracy and European future for Moldova. We wish you as well as to the whole Ukrainian nation full success in the reestablishment of the constitutional legitimacy and peaceful settlement of this political crisis that was caused by the abuses of the former government of Kuchma-Ianukovich.
Long live of free, independent and democratic Ukraine!
