Mountain View, California - A group of Ukrainians working in Silicon Valley in conjunction with the Emigrant group in Ukraine have created and launched an interactive web site on upcoming Ukrainian Presidential Elections for Ukrainian voters abroad:
www.vyboryUA.org
The site features comprehensive and timely information on the upcoming Ukrainian elections, and is both action-oriented and interactive enabling users to post questions, download sample forms, and get in touch with the right people in order to register to vote. The site is being updated daily with the most important and timely information posted in "What is Important Now/ Що важливо зараз" section.
Additionally, www.vyboryUA.org features local elections information on how to register to vote in specific towns/districts/countries outside of Ukraine in Section "Come and Vote/Прийди і проголосуй."
The site has already furnished the necessary elections information to hundreds of voters abroad. If you have localized elections information for your city/district/country or any other pertinent information related to the upcoming Ukrainian Presidential elections, the website team asks that you e-mail it to info@vyboryUA.org.
Editor's note: The website www.vyboryUA.org is backing opposition candidate Viktor Yushchenko, even sporting the official campaign logo and colors. VyboryUA's main thrust, however, is to provide essential voter information in order to encourage civic responsibility among Ukrainian citizens abroad and a strong turnout on election day (Oct. 31).
