Nasha Ukrayina and the October 2004 elections
Oleh Rybachuk, Former chief of staff to PM Victor Yushchenko will speak about the presidential elections campaign process in Ukraine at the Ukrainian Institute of America in New York, NY this Friday.
Mr. Rybachuk is a member of parliament in Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada (2002-2006), and Viktor Yushchenko's Nasha Ukrayina Bloc, the largest caucus in parliament. Also a member of the Razom parliamentary group, Mr. Rybachuk is in a position to recount firsthand experiences and provide knowledge about the October 2004 Presidential Elections in Ukraine. Mr. Rybachuk is fluent in the English language.
Concerning that election campaign, a March 1 article by Jackson Diehl in the Washington Post wrote: "... an encounter with Yushchenko in this wintry capital felt more like a meeting with a persecuted dissident than a democratic front-runner." Mr. Rybachuk will be speaking on the topic of the Ukrainian presidential elections at the Ukrainian Institute of America on Friday, March 5 at 7:00PM.
