The Ukraine Train powers through the Chinese Wall
by Max Pyziur
Craving for a win after taking in a string of three
bitter losses, the Seattle Supersonics decisively took down the
Houston Rockets 94-80 Sunday Febrauary 29th. Much of the credit
for the powerhouse playing goes to Vitaly "The Ukraine Train" Potapenko.
Sporting a dark welt under his right eye (something he
got from being elbowed by Utah Jazz's Jarron Collins a few nights
earlier) and having all of the inside hunger of both a linebacker
and a halfback Vitaly scored on 6 of his 11 shots along with
5 of 7 free-throws for 17 points and held Houston Rockets'
Center Yao Ming to 2 of 9 shooting. It wasn't elegant
basketball but it was critical to getting the desired result.
