January 30, 2004 It is with great pleasure that Mr. Roman Stepczuk, president of the Children Of Chornobyl Canadian Fund (CCCF) announced today the addition of a major corporate "climbing partner" for the Kilimanjaro expedition.
The Mississauga (Ontario) based Norcan Flexible Packaging Inc. has agreed to a 1000$ sponsorship for the "Climbing for the Children of Chornobyl" campaign. This sum will help cover some of the costs related to the expedition.
"Perfect Corporate climbing partner!" exclaimed Bohdana Zwonok, who initiated the adventurous awareness and fundraising campaign for the Children of Chornobyl.
"Norcan makes ice bags (for store bought ice), and they will help me get to the summit glacier on Kilimanjaro before it is too late...for some children."

There is yet an American corporate sponsor to be found. Deadline for the corporate climbing sponsors: Feb 05 th, 2004, less than a week from today. A digital stills-camera is still needed for back-up equipment for the climb.
It has been almost 18 years since the Chornobyl nuclear disaster, and as the glacier is getting smaller, the insidious consequences of the Chornobyl tragedy are getting bigger...the invisible trail of the radiation contamination is leading more and more children to poorly equipped hospitals, cancer centres , orphanages and mental asylums...
The fundraising campaign for the Children of Chornobyl will be ongoing during the climb.
