Soyuzivka celebrates 50 years

Parsippany, NJ — Since 1952, Soyuzivka, located in the heart of the Catskill Mountains of New York, has been a part of our Ukrainian tradition for 50 years. Soyuzivka is a truly magical place, a place where families gather, where friends meet friends, where friendships grow, where new lives begin. It's where new traditions were born and are being passed down from parents to children, from children to grandchildren. Where else can you walk down a quiet wooded lane and hear the melodious sounds of a bandura, or beautiful voices singing Ukrainian songs? Only at Soyuzivka!

Soyuzivka is that enchanting place, our home away from home, which hosts summer camps for our children from the youngest participants of Tabir Ptashat to the dance and sports camps for Ukrainian youths, to the Senior Citizens Home that lies in the middle of our resort. Adults-young and old, have the pleasure of gathering for reunions, concerts, dances, weddings, cultural events or just relaxing and enjoying the scenery of the beautiful mountains. It is a place where youth and meet, mingle and develop lasting friendships. It is a jewel of our culture that is worth preserving for future generations of Ukrainian-Americans that needs our support.

On November 23, 2002, the Executive Committee of the Ukrainian National Association is encouraging the entire Ukrainian community to help celebrate the 50th anniversary of Ukrainian heritage built on American soil, to be held at Soyuzivka in Kerhonkson, New York. Your participation in the festivities will help insure future generations of Ukrainians that Soyuzivka will be here for them and their children, just as Soyuzivka is here for you and your future children to enjoy today!

For room reservations please call Soyuzivka direct at 845-626-5641. For reservations at the banquet/Buffet, or to reserve a table, please call the UNA Home Office at 800-253-9862 and ask for Oksana Trytjak. Check www.Soyuzivka.com for details. Checks payable to Ukrainian National Foundation, all proceeds assigned to Soyuzivka and donations are tax deductible.
